In 1812 the small parcel of land now called "Belle Grove" was part of 160 acres conveyed by the U.S. land office to the heirs of Joshua Clark for his war service.

This southern federal style cottage is based on plans of the present owner's ancestral home, "Pine Hill" circa 1846 which was located in the Wolf Creek community of Drew County, Arkansas.

The cottage is filled with quality antiques from the first-half of the 19th century including many heirlooms of the present owners family.
